A foreign national has been charged with animal cruelty in Cancún, Mexico. The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred on August 17th, when the individual is said to have thrown a dog from the eighth floor of a residential building in Puerto Cancún, resulting in the animal's death.
The suspect, identified only as Armin "N", is now facing potential charges related to environmental and societal offences, as well as wildlife protection violations. These charges were brought forward after the State Attorney General's Office presented evidence of the alleged crime.
After reviewing the evidence, which was provided by the Special Prosecutor's Office for the Combat of Environmental Crimes, Wildlife, and Urban Development, a Control Judge decided there was enough to proceed with the case. As a result, Armin "N" has been formally linked to the charges and placed under preventive detention as a precautionary measure.
