Río Lagartos, Yucatán — The Río Lagartos Hotel and Restaurant Association, with the support of the Municipal and State Government of Yucatán, has enthusiastically announced the program for the 4th edition of the "Flavor, Nature, and Tradition" Octopus Festival, which will take place on November 21 and 22 in the picturesque town of Río Lagartos. This event is shaping up to be an unparalleled celebration of the region's gastronomic and cultural wealth, attracting both locals and tourists eager to experience the best of Yucatecan tradition and flavor.

Festival Program
November 21:
- Sustainability Talk: Directors from the Yucatán Secretariat of Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture will offer a talk focused on the importance of responsible purchasing and the octopus fishing ban, topics relevant to local business owners and fishermen.
- Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony: With the presence of authorities from the Government of the State of Yucatán, the festival will be formally inaugurated.
- Gastronomic Market: More than 25 local restaurants will participate, including Negritos, El Manglar, El Perico Marinero, and many more, offering a varied sample of typical regional dishes.
- "Stories of the Sea": Local fishermen will share tales, legends, and experiences in a space designed to highlight marine life and the local fishing culture.
November 22:
- Gastronomic Market: The culinary offerings will continue, presenting innovative dishes such as "Brazo de Reina" and octopus morcilla, alongside classics like octopus ceviche and grilled octopus. The renowned chefs Obed Reyes and Xavi Pérez Stone will be present, sharing their passion for gastronomy, though they will not be cooking during the event.
- Serenade Under the Stars: The night will be set to the music of traditional Yucatecan trova, creating a magical atmosphere under the starry sky.
- "Party Under the Sea": To close the festivities on a high note on Saturday, a themed party will be held at the Macumba restaurant, where the public is invited to attend dressed in ocean colors.
