Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A fire tore through a warehouse Sunday afternoon in the Campo Verde neighborhood, near the Bali residential complex, prompting a large emergency response.
The blaze broke out around 3 p.m., drawing municipal police and emergency crews to the scene.
According to unofficial reports, the fire consumed a warehouse measuring roughly 10 by 20 meters that held various materials. Firefighters from Playa del Carmen arrived and worked to control the flames, which threatened to spread to nearby homes.
Authorities reported no injuries or smoke inhalation. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
