Elderly Man Pronounced Dead at Playa del Carmen Cemetery

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — An elderly man was pronounced dead inside a cemetery in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood after emergency services responded to reports of a fall.

Paramedics were dispatched to the cemetery after authorities received an alert about a man who had apparently fallen and suffered injuries to a leg and an arm, and was also having difficulty breathing. Despite the medics’ intervention, the man showed no vital signs and was declared dead at the scene.

Police and other officials arrived at the cemetery to document the incident and conduct the corresponding investigations. The body was placed under official custody as authorities work to determine the exact cause of death.
