Tulum, Mexico — A motorcycle delivery driver was assaulted by two individuals while traveling through the dark streets of the La Veleta neighborhood. Two subjects blocked his path, knocked him to the ground, and subsequently injured him with a bladed weapon in various parts of his body to steal the day’s sales money.
Around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, a call came into the 911 emergency number requesting an ambulance on Asunción Street at the corner of Xel-Há in the aforementioned settlement, due to a person having been injured with a bladed weapon.
Paramedics and Municipal Police officers arrived at the site and found that Brian Francisco “N,” 18 years old, originally from Yucatán, had injuries to his left forearm, as well as bruises on his forehead and right leg, for which he was transported to the IMSS Bienestar Hospital in Tulum.
According to the injured party, he stated that he was going to deliver an order in the La Veleta neighborhood, but while passing on Asunción Street, two subjects emerged from the brush and threw a stone at him, causing him to lose his balance, in addition to injuring him with a bladed weapon to take his money.
