On International Mangrove Ecosystem Conservation Day, the Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation reiterated its dedication to safeguarding and rejuvenating this vital coastal environment. The foundation has initiated preservation and restoration efforts for the mangroves in the Punta Sur Ecotourism Park.
These efforts have involved the local community, as well as specialists and researchers. They have successfully revived pioneer vegetation and restored the diversity of bird species in the affected areas.
