The coordinated security operations involve multiple government agencies working with tourist police and public security officers. These patrols focus on maintaining a visible presence, preventing incidents, and monitoring high-traffic areas.
The operations cover beaches from Mezcalitos to Punta Sur on the island’s eastern side. In addition to surveillance, officers are engaging with both domestic and international visitors, providing safety recommendations for a secure stay.
Authorities are urging visitors to safeguard their belongings and vehicles, advising against leaving valuables in plain sight to prevent theft.
