Construction of a new soccer field in Supermanzana 247, Cancún, has commenced this week. The project is being funded by the Fund for the Strengthening of Municipalities (FORTAMUN), with a total investment exceeding three million pesos.

This initiative is part of the Participatory Budget program and is expected to directly benefit around 25,500 residents of Cancún. The municipal president, Ana Patricia Peralta de la Peña, who spearheaded the project's launch, stated that the aim is to enhance urban infrastructure, promote healthy social interaction, and improve the quality of life for the city's inhabitants.

The soccer field will be situated in the Ecological Park of Supermanzana 247, located on Tules Avenue, between Paseo Los Olivos and Paseo El Durazno. The facility will feature a synthetic grass court spanning 608 square meters, 106.45 linear meters of protective fencing, storm drainage, two sets of bleachers, concrete walkways covering 66 square meters, and eight light fixtures.

The project's commencement was marked by the presence of local authorities and officials.
