Apizaco, Tlaxcala — The Quintana Roo Archery Team delivered an exceptional performance at the CONADE 2025 National Olympics, securing a total of 10 medals—3 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze—during the initial rounds of competition. The events took place at the High-Performance Center in Apizaco, Tlaxcala.
Strong Support Yields Results
The team’s success stems from the backing of the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), led by Jacobo Arzate Hop. Their participation aligns with the strategies of the New Agreement for Well-being and Development, an initiative promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa to enhance the performance of the state’s athletes.
Standout Performances
Gabriel Alberto Jaramillo Serralta emerged as a key figure in the Recurve Sub-18 category, claiming one gold and one silver medal. His teammate, Víctor Mateo García Güemes, also excelled in the same discipline, adding another silver to Quintana Roo’s tally.
Yareni Miranda Chab Quintal secured a national championship title, earning the delegation’s second gold in the Sub-18 category, along with two additional silver medals.
The third gold medal was won by the Mixed Pair of Itzuri Ailen Cahum García and Diego Fernando Góngora Trujillo in the Sub-16 category. Diego Góngora continued his strong showing with two more silver medals in the Sub-16 Recurve division.
The bronze medal was secured by the duo of Yareni Miranda Chab Quintal and Gabriel Alberto Jaramillo Serralta, who took third place in the Sub-18 Mixed Recurve event.
Overall Medal Count
With these results, Quintana Roo now holds a total of 17 medals in the overall competition standings: 4 gold, 6 silver, and 7 bronze. The archery delegation will continue competing through Saturday, May 31, with hopes of further expanding their medal count.
