Tulum, Quintana Roo — A bus operated by the Del Valle company veered off Federal Highway 307 on Saturday near the Muyil–Felipe Carrillo Puerto stretch, close to Tulum International Airport.
Initial reports indicate the bus was traveling northbound with several passengers aboard when the driver lost control. Emergency services from Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Tulum responded to the scene, finding the vehicle in the brush.
Firefighters assisted some passengers who were unable to exit the bus on their own. The cause of the driver losing control remains unknown.
National Guard and municipal security personnel later arrived to provide support and handle necessary procedures, including removing the heavy vehicle. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported.
