Cancún, Quintana Roo — Authorities found a body with signs of violence in Cancún’s Cuna Maya neighborhood on Friday afternoon.
The discovery occurred on a dirt road between Ixtepec Avenue and 20 de Noviembre Avenue. Municipal police officers responded to the scene and confirmed the report.
Initial information indicates the body showed visible signs of violence, leading investigators to suspect a homicide.
Officials have not yet confirmed whether the injuries were caused by a firearm or a sharp weapon.
Personnel from the State Prosecutor’s Office processed the scene before removing the body and transporting it to the Forensic Medical Service.
