Evidence seized during drug raids in Quintana Roo, Mexico

Cancún, Quintana Roo — The State Prosecutor’s Office announced that joint operations with the Mexican Army, National Guard, and Mexican Navy executed three search warrants in Benito Juárez and Puerto Morelos municipalities. The raids resulted in the seizure of illicit substances, the discovery of human remains, and the arrest of three people suspected of involvement in drug-related crimes.

The first judicial order targeted a residence in superblock 326 of the Residencial Jardines del Sur neighborhood in Benito Juárez. There, agents from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Trafficking seized multiple doses of green plant material resembling marijuana and a red Toyota Raize vehicle. Authorities arrested a woman identified as Erika N. at the scene.

Subsequently, officials moved to the Leona Vicario delegation in Puerto Morelos municipality to search two properties.

At a home on Bagre Street, they confiscated synthetic material with dried vegetation similar to marijuana and arrested Karely de los Ángeles N.

During this operation, personnel from the Missing Persons Unit and a canine team inspected an adjacent plot of land, where they discovered human remains. Forensic investigations have been initiated.

Finally, at a property on Costera del Golfo Street, also in Leona Vicario, security forces seized additional doses of suspected marijuana and arrested a woman named María Ceferina N.

After concluding the operations, authorities sealed all three properties with official seals. The detained individuals and material evidence were turned over to the prosecutor’s office to determine their legal status.

Forensic experts collected the human remains and transported them to the Medical Forensic Service for further examination.
