Authorities Issue Search Alert for Man Abducted by Armed Group in Quintana Roo

Chetumal, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office has issued a search alert for a 25-year-old man reported missing after being abducted by an armed group in the community of X-Hazil Sur.

Authorities are seeking Raúl Alfonso Blanco Morales, a Mexican national last seen on February 28, 2026, in the Felipe Carrillo Puerto municipality. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Witnesses reported that around 12:30 a.m. on that date, six masked men wearing tactical gear and vests marked “Ejército” (Army) descended from a black vehicle during a social gathering near the main park. The armed group threatened attendees with long guns before forcibly taking Blanco Morales.

The official alert describes Blanco Morales as having light skin, a regular build, standing 1.60 meters tall, and weighing 75 kilograms. He has short, wavy black hair and medium-sized light brown eyes.

Distinguishing marks include:

  • A black ink rose tattoo on his right hand.
  • The name “Yarely” tattooed on his right arm.
  • The word “Sugy” tattooed on his chest.
  • The numbers “30/08/22” on his left calf.
  • The name “Kristal” on his left shoulder.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a dog image on the front, beige shorts, and white sneakers. The Prosecutor’s Office has asked the public for any information that could help locate him.
