Cancún, Mexico — An emergency call reported an armed robbery in the Costco parking lot. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. in an apparently safe area.
According to the victim’s testimony, the events took place right in front of the main entrance of Costco, when she was about to get into her vehicle after finishing her shopping. At that moment, an individual approached her and threatened her with a firearm to take her belongings.
The Aggressor Fled After Committing the Robbery
The victim reported that, after committing the assault, the alleged criminal escaped running from the scene, taking advantage of the confusion and usual movement of the parking lot. So far, no arrests have been reported in connection with this incident.
The affected woman explained that she decided to make her bitter experience public with the aim of warning, primarily women, that this type of crime can happen to anyone, regardless of the time and place.
