Cancún, Quintana Roo — An armed robbery occurred at the Girls Shop jewelry store located in Plaza Galerías in Cancún’s supermanzana 1, where two alleged criminals threatened staff with firearms and stole various pieces of jewelry.
The value of the stolen items has not yet been quantified, as the establishment is conducting the corresponding inventory.
During the incident, no physical assaults against employees were recorded; however, two women suffered nervous breakdowns and were treated on-site by paramedics, without requiring transportation to a hospital.
After committing the robbery, the alleged assailants fled on a black electric motorcycle, which they abandoned on Granadillo Street in supermanzana 2. The vehicle was secured by police and made available to the ministerial authority, which maintains an open investigation file to locate and detain those responsible.
