Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A 25-year-old Argentine woman was found dead in a rooming house in the Zazil-Ha neighborhood, apparently from asphyxiation as she had a bag over her head.
The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on 42nd Street between 10th and 15th Avenues in the aforementioned neighborhood, where a person reported the discovery to the 911 emergency number after seeing the body through a window at the rooming house.
Municipal Police officers arrived at the scene to secure the area, followed later by forensic experts and investigators from the State Attorney General’s Office.
The victim was identified as Fiorela Belén P., 25 years old, originally from Argentina. Her body was taken to the Forensic Medical Service for the required autopsy while authorities investigate the incident to identify the suspect or suspects in this crime.
