A 32-year-old Argentine woman has tragically lost her life in a car accident that took place on the road between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 12, leaving four people injured, including three women and one man.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that they assisted the injured individuals from the two vehicles involved in the accident while they waited for emergency services to arrive. The vehicles involved were a blue and a white Nissan March. Witnesses reported that the driver of the blue Nissan March crossed into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with the white vehicle. The impact was so severe that both vehicles were almost completely destroyed.
Paramedics arrived promptly at the scene and transported the injured individuals to hospitals in Playa del Carmen. Members of the National Road Guard also arrived to secure the area and prevent any further incidents on Federal Highway 307 where the wreckage was located.
The cause of the accident, which injured four people, is still unknown. Among the injured was a woman named Georgina, a 32-year-old Argentine, who unfortunately succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to a clinic in Playa del Carmen.
