In Yucatan, a drug cartel leader known as Fabián Alejandro B.S. or Wilberth B. Epitacio, also called "Titis," was arrested at a property owned by Luis Antonio Hevia Jiménez. Hevia Jiménez is the head of the Technical Secretariat for Planning and Evaluation for Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena.

The arrest also led to the capture of two other drug traffickers, Enrique Epitacio E., and Ruth Abigail S.P. Authorities seized a significant quantity of drugs from the property, including over 150 kilograms of packaged marijuana ready for distribution, two kilograms of cocaine, and 110 boxes of psychotropic pills containing phentermine and amfepramone.

Additionally, firearms, including Glock .40 caliber pistols and 9 MM cartridges, were confiscated, along with forged identification documents such as birth certificates.

Governor Díaz Mena has yet to comment on the incident, particularly concerning the use of his technical secretary's residence as a storage location for drug shipments.

The Federal Anti-narcotics Agency reports that drug and psychotropic shipments were received at Hevia's property, processed, and then distributed throughout Yucatan.

The arrested individuals are currently in the custody of the Federal Attorney's Office (FGR). It remains unclear whether they will face criminal charges in Yucatan for crimes against health, or if they will be transferred to a maximum-security prison in Mexico City.

The FGR has not yet disclosed whether an investigation has been launched against Hevia Jiménez to determine any potential links to organized crime in drug trafficking, given that his property was used as a drug warehouse.
