In Cancún's Benito Juárez district, officers from the Municipal Secretary of Citizen Security and Traffic arrested four men on homicide charges. The suspects, identified as Asunción "N", Juan "N", Diego "N", and Pablo "N", were apprehended following a reported shooting in the Paraíso Maya housing development.
The police were alerted to the incident via a 911 call reporting gunfire in the area. Upon arriving at the scene in Supermanzana 107, they interviewed a witness who provided descriptions of the suspects and reported that a woman had been shot.
Armed with this information, the authorities launched a search operation. Utilizing modern tracking technology, they located the suspects in a Nissan Tiida taxi attempting to evade capture. The taxi was associated with the "Andrés Quintana Roo" union.
The police pursued the vehicle and successfully apprehended the suspects in Supermanzana 100, near Chac Mool avenue. The four men in the vehicle matched the descriptions provided by the witness. A search of the suspects revealed a 9mm firearm and a magazine with 11 rounds.
Following their arrest, the suspects were handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation. Legal proceedings are underway.
