A Spanish hotel executive is on the run after being accused of multiple counts of sexual assault. The case highlights the inadequacies in the recruitment processes of major Spanish hotel chains operating in various tourist destinations in the Mexican Caribbean. These companies have been criticized for their lack of thorough background checks when appointing senior executives to manage their businesses in the region.

The accused, Ramón Hernández Cordero, is alleged to have harassed and sexually assaulted at least three victims between February 2022 and March 2023. These victims have bravely come forward to accuse Hernández Cordero of his crimes, which they claim were committed with complete impunity.

Interpol in Mexico issued a migration alert and red notification for Hernández Cordero on August 2. The Spanish national is now wanted under an arrest warrant issued by a Control Judge in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. He is suspected of committing rape, a charge he denies any knowledge of.

Hernández Cordero has stated, "The information related to me having committed any crime of rape against anyone is false (…) as I have never committed such acts…"

The article goes on to provide more detailed information about the case, the potential repercussions of the accused's actions, and the determination of the victims seeking justice. The extract above, however, provides the essential details related to the case.
