CHETUMAL, September 15 — Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa led the traditional Cry of Independence ceremony, marking the 215th anniversary, before thousands of Chetumal families, visitors, and tourists. The event was held in an atmosphere of patriotic fervor, with Mexican flags, confetti, hats, and traditional costumes worn by those in attendance.

More than twelve thousand people accompanied Governor Mara Lezama for the Cry of Independence, which was celebrated from the main balcony of the Government Palace and the Plaza Cívica de la Bandera in a night filled with patriotic spirit.
