Cancún, Mexico — Violence once again shook the city on Monday night with two separate armed attacks that left three people injured at different locations. The perpetrators were not apprehended in either incident.

The first attack occurred in Supermanzana 219, on 64th Street between 95th and 97th Streets, where residents reported gunfire. Two people were injured at the scene: one was transported in a taxi from the Andrés Quintana Roo union to the General Hospital, while the other was taken away in an ambulance.

Ministerial authorities located at least six spent 9-millimeter shell casings. The alleged assailants fled on a motorcycle and were not detained.

Minutes later, another attempted execution was reported on Privada Laurel in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision in Region 247. A man was shot while attending a social gathering for a Mexican-themed night. He was also transported to the General Hospital.

In both cases, authorities implemented search operations, though no arrests were reported.
