CANCÚN, QRoo — Governor Mara Lezama, accompanied by the Secretary of Tourism, Bernardo Cueto Riestra, inaugurated a photographic stop for the Patriotic Holidays in Cancún's Hotel Zone, with the objective of strengthening national pride and boosting the city's tourism profile.
The space, located in the area of the Monumental Flagpole at kilometer 5 of Boulevard Kukulcán, was decorated and illuminated by the Fideicomiso para el Fortalecimiento de la Actividad Turística de Quintana Roo (FOATQROO). In addition, architectural lighting was installed at the Hemicycle to the Boy Heroes (Hemiciclo a los Niños Héroes), adding a visual attraction for locals and visitors.
"The illumination for the Patriotic Holidays reminds us of the pride of being Mexican. Cancún projects itself to the world with a renewed image and identity," stated the governor, who reiterated that these actions are part of the New Agreement for the Wellbeing and Development of Quintana Roo, which seeks to rebuild the social fabric and create spaces for family coexistence.
Mara Lezama invited the people of Quintana Roo, as well as national and international tourists, to visit the photo stop, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and take photographs with the patriotic colors as a backdrop.
"We continue transforming Quintana Roo with real results. In this humanist government with a feminist heart, no one is left out and no one is left behind," emphasized the Governor.
