Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Demonstrating a firm commitment to improving family welfare, the honorary president of DIF Playa del Carmen, Eduardo Asencio Martínez, delivered wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches to the General Hospital of Well-Being. The equipment is intended to provide greater independence, security, and quality of life for the patients who require it.
A Commitment to Community Health
The event, held inside the hospital, featured remarks from Asencio Martínez, who highlighted that the action was made possible through the support of Municipal President Estefanía Mercado, in coordination with the State Government. This collaboration allowed for the swift processing of the request.
"Today we deliver these assisted mobility devices that will facilitate the transport and rehabilitation of patients, contributing to their recovery and to the peace of mind of their families," he stated.
Elvia Flores Loera, the director of the hospital, expressed her gratitude to the municipal president and DIF Playa del Carmen for the donation. She noted that the equipment will be of great help in improving patient mobility and will also strengthen care in the rehabilitation department.
The delivery of this equipment represents a significant advancement in community healthcare, benefiting both patients who face difficulties walking and the medical staff in their daily work. With actions like this, DIF Playa del Carmen reaffirms its commitment to working for the welfare, health, and quality of life of the city's families.
