Chetumal, Mexico — The cruise line Royal Caribbean has announced the appointment of Ari Adler Brotman as president of Royal Caribbean Group Mexico. He will lead the company's growth strategy in the country and oversee key projects, including Perfect Day Mexico and Royal Beach Club Cozumel.
Adler Brotman will be responsible for coordinating with authorities, regulators, businesses, and local communities, with the objective of ensuring the cruise line's developments generate long-term economic, social, and environmental benefits.
“His experience in real estate development and his deep knowledge of the region bring great value to our team,” said Jay Schneider, chief product innovation officer at Royal Caribbean. “We hope that together we can deliver meaningful results for economic development and the environment in Mexico for the coming decades.”
Among the brand's public commitments are the conservation of 45 hectares of mangroves, the protection of the Mesoamerican Reef, the construction of wastewater and solid waste treatment plants, the supply of 100% green energy by 2040, as well as actions to safeguard sea turtle nesting and restore previously impacted areas.
“I am proud to join a company that combines unique vacation experiences with environmental responsibility and local development. Our commitment is to comply with regulations, improve the living conditions of communities, and respect the values of Royal Caribbean,” stated Adler Brotman.
With extensive experience in managing public and private projects, the new president also has a deep knowledge of the Mexican legal framework, which will allow him to guarantee the viability of the cruise line's initiatives in the country.
What is the Perfect Day Mexico Project?
On an economic and social level, Perfect Day Mexico is projected to generate approximately 2,000 jobs during its construction phase and another 2,000 during its operation, prioritizing the hiring of local talent. Furthermore, a hospitality training center will be established in collaboration with the University of Quintana Roo, as well as a food store in Mahahual, intended to boost local producers.
These actions are part of the SEA the Future program, through which Royal Caribbean seeks to leave a positive footprint on tourism and in the communities where it operates.
