Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo conducted an inspection of the town’s public library to assess the condition of its facilities and address any remaining needs following recent renovations. The visit was part of his administration’s efforts to ensure high-quality public services for residents.
Renovations Include Lighting, Paint, and Electrical Upgrades
The library recently underwent remodeling work that included repainting walls, upgrading lighting systems, installing air conditioning units, and modernizing the electrical infrastructure.
Accompanied by General Director of Education Nilvia Lizama Guerrero, Castañón Trejo toured the library and spoke with staff to identify further requirements that would improve service delivery.
"Investing in education will always be a wise decision for any government," Castañón Trejo stated. "That’s why we want to ensure our library has all the necessary resources. It’s vital that our children, youth, and the general public have a space where they can cultivate knowledge."
Promoting Education to Deter Harmful Influences
The municipal president also emphasized the importance of providing educational tools to young people to steer them away from activities detrimental to their physical and mental well-being.
"Taking care of our youth means safeguarding our present and ensuring a healthy society for the future," Castañón Trejo added, addressing both library staff and patrons during his visit.
The inspection underscores the local government’s commitment to maintaining and improving public infrastructure to better serve Tulum’s community.
