Cancún, Mexico — More than 100 local artisans and entrepreneurs will showcase the cultural richness of Tabasco during the first edition of the collective exhibition Tabasco en el Corazón de Cancún, taking place this weekend through July 20 at Malecón Tajamar.

Promoting Cultural Identity and Regional Ties

Selene Carreta, representative of the collective Arte con Corazón, stated that the event aims to promote Tabasco’s cultural identity while strengthening tourism and commercial ties in the region. The exhibition is organized by Arte con Corazón and the State Government through the Trust for the Strengthening of Tourism Activities in Quintana Roo (FOATQROO).

Attendees, including both locals and tourists, will have the opportunity to explore a diverse offering—from the iconic horchata and Tabasco-style tamales to traditional crafts, clothing, and handmade products from the state.

An Immersive Cultural Experience

“Beyond the festival’s music, the exhibition offers visitors an immersive experience in a festive atmosphere where the flavors, colors, and traditions of Tabasco come to life,” Carreta said.

The event seeks not only to highlight Tabasco’s gastronomy and craftsmanship but also to serve as a cultural gathering point in the heart of Cancún. Organizers anticipate an estimated attendance of 10,000 people, noting the significant Tabasco community already residing in Cancún.

“With every step, visitors have the chance to enjoy the authenticity and hospitality that define Tabasco,” Carreta added.

A Call for Community Participation

Organizers are encouraging families to join the celebration, which goes beyond offering regional products—it aims to foster pride in local traditions and the talent of Tabasco’s producers.

Running through July 20, Tabasco en el Corazón de Cancún serves as an open window to discover and appreciate the essence of the state in the Mexican Caribbean.
