Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Tulum Municipal Government will deploy machinery and materials this weekend to rehabilitate an additional two kilometers of the road leading to Punta Allen, building upon the eight kilometers already repaired through a collaboration with private sector partners.

Mayor Diego Castañón personally met with residents of the community, addressing their concerns and announcing plans to expand the rehabilitation efforts to cover a total of 15 kilometers of the access road.

Hydraulic Base to Improve Road Conditions Without Environmental Harm

Castañón emphasized that a hydraulic base will be used to enhance road conditions while minimizing impact on the protected surrounding area. He confirmed that work will resume on Monday and that a follow-up meeting with residents will be held to maintain open dialogue.

The mayor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining close ties with the community and swiftly addressing the most urgent needs of citizens.
