Yucatán, Mexico — The rhythmic gymnastics team from Yucatán delivered a historic performance at the 2025 Conade National Games, securing seven gold medals and solidifying its dominance in the sport. The standout performances included Linda Briceño Climaco’s victories and the triumphs of the 13-15-year-old ensemble team.
Linda Briceño Climaco Secures Double Gold
Briceño, competing in the 11-12 age category, claimed two gold medals. Her flawless routine in the clubs event earned her the seventh gold for Yucatán, while she also topped the podium in the All-Around competition, showcasing her technical precision and elegance.
Youth Ensemble Dominates with Three Golds
The 13-15-year-old ensemble team further elevated Yucatán’s success with three gold medals:
- Aros (Hoop) Routine: 21.25 points
- Clubs Routine: 20.50 points
- All-Around: 39.05 points
The team consists of Ami Herrera Rodríguez, Génesis Mardueño Guzmán, Helena García Cigarroa, Jimena Chion Núñez, Mariana Magadán Sosa, and Victoria Cortés Manrique.
Ana Luisa Habib Emerges as Top Medalist
Ana Luisa Habib became Yucatán’s most decorated athlete in the competition, contributing six gold medals. One of these was earned in a team event alongside Elisa Valentina Novelo Evia and María Fernanda Ortega Sánchez.
The victories underscore Yucatán’s strength and consistency in high-performance rhythmic gymnastics at the national level.
