Mérida, Yucatán — The Yucatán Transport Agency (ATY) and Mérida City Council have agreed to strengthen coordination on measures to make public transit safer and more efficient.
During a working meeting, ATY’s interim director, Aldo Cerezo Cázares, presented an overview of issues affecting transit operations, including potholes, tree branches, signage, bus stops, and obstructions on public roads.
Officials agreed to create a direct channel for reporting, validating, and tracking each case so that problems affecting passengers can be addressed promptly.
Both institutions reiterated their commitment to working together to provide residents with safer, more orderly, and more efficient trips.
