TULUM — An 18-year-old woman identified as Dulce Dalay “N” was found dead beside the Tulum-Muyil highway, near the Laguna Kaan Luum, with a gunshot wound to the head, in what authorities are investigating as a possible execution.
According to unofficial information, the victim had been detained days earlier along with her partner, Alan Alexis “N”, 23, for the alleged possession of 118 doses of drugs. Of these, 80 were of a dry herb with characteristics similar to marijuana and 38 were of a granular material, apparently crystal.
Despite this seizure, both individuals were subsequently released, a fact that has raised questions about the conduct of the authorities and the potential for corruption within the process.
The discovery of the body, bearing signs of an execution, has reinforced theories that this could be a settling of scores related to organized crime.
Local authorities and the State Attorney General's Office are maintaining an open investigation to clarify the facts and determine the relationship between the recent detention and the homicide of the young woman.
