Quintana Roo — A tragic traffic accident occurred on Sunday morning on Federal Highway 307, where a young motorcyclist lost his life after suffering a spectacular fall following loss of control of his vehicle, which prompted an the mobilization of emergency services and security authorities.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred on the highway section heading from Playa del Carmen toward Puerto Aventuras. Eyewitnesses indicated that the motorcyclist, who was riding a Vento 300 motorcycle, was traveling at excessive speed when, for reasons still not clarified, he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle impacted the central median, causing the driver to be violently thrown, crossing into the opposite lane. The young man fell brutally onto the asphalt surface, hitting his head severely, which caused his death almost instantly. Despite wearing a safety helmet, the force of the impact was decisive, as he allegedly suffered a cervical fracture that caused his death at the scene.
Motorists traveling through the area stopped to assist and requested support from emergency services through the 911 number. Minutes later, paramedics arrived who, after assessing the motorcyclist, confirmed that he no longer had vital signs, so they proceeded to cover the body with a blanket while waiting for the corresponding authorities.
Elements of the Police and the National Guard cordoned off the area to secure the scene and prevent another accident while legal procedures were carried out. Subsequently, personnel from the Forensic Services of the State Attorney General’s Office took charge of removing the body and transporting it to the Forensic Medical Service for the required autopsy.
The accident generated traffic congestion for several minutes in both directions of the road while corresponding work was carried out. At the scene of the incident, no other vehicle involved or broken parts from any collision were visible.
