José María Morelos, Quintana Roo — A woman was denounced by her partner for allegedly abducting two minors at a residence located on Francis May Street, between 5 de Mayo and Kohunlich in the Morelos neighborhood. The woman reportedly took the children because it was her turn to care for them under an agreement both parties signed with the municipal DIF (Integral Family Development), but the time when she was supposed to return the minors had expired yesterday and she had not done so.
Information gathered from the police and from the children’s father, Mr. Carlos Cen, indicates that on Wednesday, the woman, Verónica Sulub, his ex-partner, arrived at his house to pick up the two children they had when they lived together, because it was her turn to care for them. He said she should have returned the minors yesterday, Friday, at twelve noon, but she did not do so throughout the afternoon, which is why, he indicated, he reported the case to the police late at night.
The officers arrived at his residence to confirm the facts, and at that location, Carlos told them that his ex-partner lives on Tepich Street, between 5 de Mayo and Kohunlich, in the Miraflores neighborhood. The officers went to that location to speak with Ms. Verónica, but upon arriving and speaking at the residence, only a man came out and told the officers that the woman was not there, that she had been there in the morning. Then a woman came out who said her name was Tomasa and told the officers that she had not seen the woman they were looking for today or previously.
According to Mr. Carlos, his ex-partner is originally from Acanké, Yucatán.
