Bound Woman Executed in Cancún’s Violent Weekend

Cancún, Mexico — A woman, bound at the feet and hands, was found executed inside a lot used for storing construction materials in Cancún’s Region 227 on Saturday.

Discovery and Police Response

The report of the discovery was issued shortly before noon, prompting a heavy police mobilization to Ribera del Río Hondo Street, between Centenario and 20 de Noviembre avenues. According to initial reports, the victim was found tied at the feet and hands, with gunshot wounds.

Unconfirmed sources indicated that the woman may have been abducted by an armed group hours before her body was discovered. Police cordoned off the area while awaiting the arrival of personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office to conduct investigative procedures.

Investigation and Removal of the Body

Authorities later transported the woman’s body to the Forensic Medical Service for further examination.
