Quintana Roo, Mexico — A serious traffic accident occurred at kilometer 304 of Federal Highway 307 near the entrance to Rancho Vida y Esperanza, leaving one vehicle overturned and a driver injured.

Collision Caused by Excessive Speed

The incident involved a gray Chevrolet Aveo and a blue Renault Sandero. According to reports, the driver of the Chevrolet was traveling in the left lane at excessive speed when attempting to merge into the right lane, striking the side of the Renault Sandero.

The impact forced the Sandero off the road, sending it into a ditch amid dense vegetation. The driver sustained injuries from the collision. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet struck a roadside barrier before overturning, landing on its roof.

Emergency Response and Vehicle Removal

Paramedics from the Red Cross arrived at the scene to provide first aid, prioritizing the Sandero driver, who suffered more severe injuries. Officers from the National Guard’s Highway Division coordinated the removal of both vehicles with the assistance of a tow truck.

The accident underscores ongoing concerns over road safety along Federal Highway 307, a key route in Quintana Roo. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
