Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A collision between two vehicles occurred on Saturday morning at the intersection of Avenida Tecnológico and Avenida Hipocampo. The vehicles involved were a Nissan Versa and a Kia Soul, according to reports from local authorities.
The incident was triggered when the driver of the Kia Soul attempted to merge into a U-turn without taking the necessary precautions, resulting in an impact with the other vehicle, which is reportedly owned by the municipal DIF (Integral Family Development) system.
The crash caused significant damage to the Nissan Versa, particularly on the driver's side, where the door was severely affected. The driver of the Versa sustained minor injuries and was treated immediately by paramedics from the Red Cross.
