Tulum, Quintana Roo — The State Attorney General’s Office has reported that investigations continue regarding the qualified homicide of a teenager, originally from the state of Yucatán, which occurred on November 8 of this year in an establishment located in the coastal area of this municipality.
This Social Representation announces that, for these events, two male individuals identified as Pedro Antonio “N” and Juan Carlos “N” are being investigated, who have been linked to the process for their probable participation in the crimes of qualified homicide and against public health in its modality of drug retailing.
Additionally, the charge for the crime of qualified homicide, in events that occurred on October 30 of this year, in a mini-supermarket located on Gonzalo Guerrero Avenue, in the locality of Akumal, where Juan Carlos “N” allegedly shot another victim, depriving them of life. Subsequently, he boarded a Toyota brand vehicle, driven by Pedro Antonio “N”, with which they fled the scene.
At the time of their detention, on November 11 of this year, the now defendants were secured various doses of drugs, as well as three firearms: two short ones caliber 9 mm and a long weapon caliber .223. According to ballistics reports, one of these artifacts matches the one used in the homicide.
Field, office, and technological analysis investigations allowed establishing that both defendants are also allegedly related to the qualified homicide of the teenager that occurred on November 8 of this year, in the coastal area of Tulum.
According to the line of investigation, the motive for this event would be related to disputes over the sale of narcotics, since the victim allegedly belonged to an opposing criminal group that operates in the region.
Pedro Antonio “N” and Juan Carlos “N” are under the precautionary measure of preventive detention, imposed for a term of two years or for the duration of the judicial process.
The State Attorney General’s Office reaffirms its commitment to truth and justice and specifies that the investigations will continue until the facts are fully clarified and all those responsible are brought to justice.
