Cancún, Quintana Roo — Two individuals on a motorcycle shot a man on Ruta 4 avenue, near Supermanzana 66 in Cancún, leaving the victim in critical condition.
Residents of the area reported through the emergency number 911 that a man was lying on the mentioned avenue, at the corner of Calle 5, after being the victim of an armed attack.
According to witnesses, at least five gunshots were heard at the time of the armed attack.
Shortly after, paramedics from the Red Cross transported the victim to the General Hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition.
At the attack site, experts from the State Attorney General’s Office processed the area and collected several spent shell casings.
Witnesses indicated that the attackers were two thin individuals who fled on a motorcycle, heading in an unknown direction.
Authorities are already analyzing footage from nearby security cameras to advance the investigation and locate those responsible for the attack.
