Road rage leads to arrests after Playa del Carmen crash

Motorcycle and bus involved in collision in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, QR — Two men involved in a street fight were arrested by Playa del Carmen police after they began fighting following a collision. Both men, drivers of vehicles, were detained after participating in a physical altercation after crashing into each other.

The incident occurred on Sunday night near Misión del Carmen where a bus and a motorcycle collided. Tensions quickly escalated when both men began arguing.

Words quickly turned to blows that led both men to jail.

Officers from the Playa del Carmen Citizen Security Secretariat arrested Francisco Javier “N” from Yucatán, 34 years old, and Mauricio Miguel “N” from Morelos, 20 years old.

The police also confiscated the bus and the motorcycle. Both were vehicles damaged during the collision. The police made no comments about driver responsibility.
