Cancún — Agents from the Secretary of Citizen Security have detained two Colombian nationals, Camilo Andrés "N" and Jhon Fredy "N," as alleged participants in crimes Against Health and offenses outlined in the Federal Law of Firearms and Explosives.

During patrols, officers from the Grupo Centurión, in coordination with the Mexican Navy, observed a white vehicle parked with its rear hazard lights on. At the location, near the driver's side door, an individual was seen exchanging small bags with characteristics matching those used for marijuana.

The incident occurred on Calle Uno Oriente at the corner of Avenida Tules, in supermanzana 248, manzana 136. Upon noticing the police, the individual who was standing outside the vehicle fled on foot and was lost from sight. The subsequent inspection was conducted with the driver and the passenger of the unit.

Authorities confiscated one short 9mm caliber firearm, one silver-colored magazine with seven golden 9mm cartridges, 94 small bags containing marijuana, and 20 additional bags containing "piedra" (a form of crack cocaine). The seized vehicle was a 2018 Volkswagen Jetta with license plates from the State of Mexico. Two fanny packs and three cell phones were also secured.

The individuals and the confiscated items were placed at the disposal of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in Combating Drug Retailing.
