Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has announced a new initiative to combat crime in Tulum. She revealed plans to collaborate with the Cancún Hotel Council, positioning hotel cameras towards the beach area. This camera installation is part of a broader crime prevention strategy.

The governor confirmed that authorities are actively pursuing those responsible for a recent armed attack. The incident, which resulted in one death and four injuries, is believed to have been a robbery, with the assailants allegedly stealing a jet ski.

In other news, Governor Espinosa stated that her administration has begun to repay a debt owed to the Teletón Children's Rehabilitation Center (CRIT). She also refuted rumors of a 5% tax on real estate sales, assuring the public that such information is incorrect.
