TULUM, Mexico — Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo conducted an intensive work trip in the nation's capital, where he held meetings with representatives of the Federal Government and the Legislative Branch. The objective of these meetings was to strengthen the municipality's economic development and guarantee the fundamental rights of its citizens.
In his first meeting, Castañón met with Secretary Marcelo Ebrard. They exchanged ideas and proposals concerning innovation, investment attraction, and the generation of new opportunities to enhance Tulum's tourist and cultural strengths. The mayor emphasized that the municipality requires strategic alliances to promote its growth in an orderly and sustainable manner, always for the benefit of Tulum families.
Furthermore, Castañón Trejo held a dialogue with legislators Ricardo Monreal Ávila and Enrique Vázquez. They discussed a recently approved initiative in Congress that represents a firm step toward guaranteeing free access to the country's beaches. The mayor underscored that this advancement constitutes a social triumph that ensures the sea remains a free, fair, and accessible space for all.
Finally, Castañón thanked the support of Governor Mara Lezama and Senator Eugenio Segura Vázquez, whose collaboration has been fundamental for consolidating projects that strengthen Quintana Roo. "Through united work, we continue transforming Tulum and guaranteeing a better future for our people," he stated.
