Tulum, Quintana Roo — Business leaders, real estate advisors, and regional officials gathered at the Tulum Country Club on March 11 to hear a sponsorship pitch from NASCAR driver Santiago Cruz, the only Mexican driver from Quintana Roo currently competing in the series.

Mario San Miguel, president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) and Cruz’s regional representative, organized the event to connect the Riviera Maya’s business, real estate, and tourism sectors with international motorsports.

Officials highlighted NASCAR’s global reach as one of North America’s most-watched sports, offering strategic opportunities for Mexican brands, tourist destinations, and companies to gain visibility with international audiences, particularly in Mexico and the United States.

During the presentation, Cruz outlined sponsorship opportunities for companies, real estate developers, brands, and entrepreneurs. Sponsors can gain visibility on the race car, the driver’s helmet, racing uniforms, team promotional materials, commercial zones, and various activities during events.

This sponsorship model allows companies to project their brands in international sports settings, connecting with high-impact audiences in both countries.

Cruz proudly represents Quintana Roo in what will be the first major NASCAR event in southeastern Mexico, scheduled for April 25 and 26. The event is considered a historic moment for motorsports and the region’s international projection.

The gathering provided an opportunity for attendees to learn firsthand about the vision behind this sporting event, generate content, and establish connections with high-level audiences in an intimate setting with one of professional motorsports’ key figures.

In this networking environment, attendees heard from a professional driver about life inside the NASCAR world and discovered various ways their brands could gain international positioning through the event.

The meeting developed as an open conversation about discipline, high performance, sports sponsorship, and global visibility opportunities, surrounded by business leaders interested in boosting Quintana Roo’s presence in international motorsports.
