Tulum, Mexico — In an effort to protect and regenerate the oceans, ReFi Tulum and Delek have organized an Ocean Symposium as part of the 2025 World Ocean Day celebrations. The event, scheduled for June 8, will bring together local leaders, environmentalists, and artists to catalyze action for the ocean and climate.
A Day of Conservation and Connection
The symposium’s program includes activities ranging from a morning yoga session to discussions focused on ocean conservation, music, and sound healing. The initiative aims to integrate personal well-being with innovative dialogues and solutions to address environmental challenges.
Michael Lande, founder of Vortex Vitality Spa and Clinic, will participate in a community raffle and deliver a talk on self-regeneration and its connection to environmental healing.
Art and Sustainability Reach New Heights
A highlight of the event is the newly announced collaboration between ReFi Tulum and BitBasel. This partnership will enable local artworks, inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water), to be sent to the moon, symbolizing how creativity can expand global awareness of marine life.
Ana Couchonal, founder of Delek, emphasized the event’s mission, stating, “We believe in Radical Love—love for nature, for community, and for the Earth.” The statement underscores the eco-hotel’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Supported by Committed Sponsors
The symposium is backed by dedicated sponsors, including Gaia AI and Huddle Puddle, who support ReFi Tulum’s mission to regenerate ecosystems and local economies.
The public is invited to join this day of collective action and reflection, which promises to celebrate the blue planet we call home. The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM at Delek Tulum, located at Carretera Boca Paila KM. 7, Tulum.
Through these initiatives, Tulum reaffirms its role as a beacon of sustainability and positive change in the region.
