Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum is gearing up for one of the year’s most anticipated events with the Tulum Air Show 2026, a free international aerial spectacle set for April 25-26 at Tulum International Airport.

The family-friendly event aims to become a major tourist attraction for the Mexican Caribbean, offering a high-adrenaline program featuring specialized pilots and high-performance aircraft. Key attractions include military aircraft displays, such as the iconic Northrop F-5 Tiger II, known for its speed and tactical capabilities; synchronized maneuvers by the Águilas Aztecas acrobatic squadron; precision aerobatic flights; and parachuting demonstrations.

Organizers say the show seeks to engage the public with aviation and highlight the work of Mexico’s armed forces.

Aircraft have already begun arriving at the destination, including T-6C+ Texan II and F-5 Tiger planes, marking the start of pre-event excitement. While admission is free, mandatory pre-registration is required due to high expected attendance. Registrants must provide basic information like full name, email, country and state of origin, and how they learned about the event to help organizers manage access, ensure safety, and optimize logistics.

The Tulum Air Show 2026 is part of a strategy to boost Quintana Roo’s tourism profile and diversify offerings beyond beach tourism. Authorities hope it will increase hotel occupancy, draw more national and international visitors, stimulate local businesses, and enhance media exposure, positioning Tulum as a destination for high-impact events that blend nature, infrastructure, and entertainment.

Thousands are expected to attend over the two days, turning the airport into a hub for aviation enthusiasts and experience-seeking tourists, with the skies of the Mexican Caribbean serving as the main stage for an unforgettable spectacle.
