Triple Homicide Probe Reaches Southern Quintana Roo

Police investigation scene related to triple homicide in Dzilam González

Chetumal, Quintana Roo — The investigation into the triple execution carried out in the community of Dzilam González in the state of Yucatán has reached the state of Quintana Roo.

A group of agents from the Yucatán State Investigation Police arrived in Chetumal to request support from the State Attorney General’s Office for a series of operations they will conduct in the entity, particularly in the south-central zone of Quintana Roo, to search for more people allegedly related to the three homicides.

According to gathered information, yesterday the group of Investigation Agents from the State of Yucatán arrived at the facilities to request support for the operations they will conduct in the South-Central zone of the entity as part of the investigations they are carrying out regarding the triple execution perpetrated in the community of Dzilam González.

After requesting support from the State Attorney General’s Office, the agents from the Yucatán Investigation Police began operations on the afternoon of Friday, January 16, in the community of Limones, municipality of Bacalar.

Subsequently, they moved to the towns of Chunhuhub and Polyuc, in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, where they conducted various operations and searches in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office in search of people allegedly related to the triple execution perpetrated in Dzilam González.

Unofficially, it was reported that in the community of Limones, considered a drug transit point from Central America, authorities allegedly detained a person apparently related to the events that occurred in the state of Yucatán.

After concluding the operations in the early morning of Saturday, January 17, the Investigation Police agents returned to the state of Yucatán.
