Three people were injured when a tourist bus collided with a van on Federal Highway 307 near Tulum. The accident took place at kilometer 224, just a short distance from the city entrance.
The van, a white F-150 model, was traveling on the highway when it was hit from behind by a bus operated by Autotur. The impact caused the van to roll off the road, resulting in injuries to all three occupants.
Thankfully, paramedics were quickly on the scene and none of the injuries sustained by the van's occupants were life-threatening.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by traffic experts. Early indications suggest that the driver of the tourist bus may be at fault.
