Cancun, Quintana Roo — Police are investigating the discovery of three bodies inside a property in the Valle Verde neighborhood that authorities believe may have been used as a safe house.
The case came to light after a woman escaped the building with injuries and asked nearby residents for help, according to preliminary reports. She was treated at the scene and later taken to a hospital in Cancun.
When officers entered the property, they found the three bodies and seized weapons, including long guns. The area was cordoned off to preserve possible evidence.
Forensic experts are working to identify the victims and determine the circumstances of their deaths, while officers search the surrounding area for any suspects.
No arrests have been reported so far.
