Late Wednesday night, three individuals were apprehended by local and state police for their involvement in setting a Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) van on fire. The incident occurred around 10:30 pm on Tórtolas Street at the intersection of Azulejo Avenue, while CFE employees were attempting to restore electrical services.

The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Cecilio from Chiapas, 41-year-old Juan Carlos from Veracruz, and 21-year-old Ángel Joaquín from Michoacán, were handed over to the State Attorney General's Office for legal proceedings. It is alleged that Cecilio was the one who ignited the van.

Despite the severity of the incident, which included hurling stones at the vehicle and inciting attacks on the CFE workers, the police were able to contain the situation. The suspects' actions were reportedly in protest of a prolonged power outage in the Villas del Sol subdivision. Residents claimed that they had been without electricity for over 16 hours, prompting them to resort to such extreme measures.
