Puerto Cancun, Mexico — Thompson Private Residences has arrived in Puerto Cancun as a new symbol of exclusivity and sophistication. The team behind this innovative architectural project, which marks the first independent residential development worldwide under the Thompson Hotels brand by Hyatt, commemorated the groundbreaking of this ambitious undertaking, which seeks to redefine the region's architectural standards.

The ceremony represented a milestone for Cancun and for the Thompson brand, solidifying the city as a destination for high-level real estate investment and as a home for residential projects with international standards of design, luxury, and authenticity.

The inaugural event began with a symbolic placement of the first stone on the site of the future tower. This act was presided over by representatives from Hyatt, AZUL Hospitality & Real Estate Group, Macedo Arquitectura, MAAR Arquitectura, and Alejandro Escudero Interiorismo, and included a traditional blessing and a brief presentation of the project's concept and vision.

More than 150 personalities from the real estate, architectural, and design sectors, along with investors, potential clients, and Hyatt representatives, gathered at the Thompson Private Residences showroom in Marina Puerto Cancun. There, they enjoyed a private cocktail event in a luxurious setting, with live music, gastronomy inspired by the Mexican Caribbean, and a visual curation reflecting the project's aesthetic, which consists of elevating the residential lifestyle with the hospitality and design standards of the Thompson brand.

The event offered an immersive luxury experience that not only communicated the values of the Thompson brand but also celebrated the beginning of a new stage for Hyatt and the consolidation of Cancun as an international luxury destination.

An Exquisite Lifestyle

Thompson Private Residences will redefine luxury living in Puerto Cancun, one of the most exclusive communities in the Mexican Caribbean. This project is distinguished by an innovative concept: luxury residences accessible only by invitation or referral, ensuring the formation of an exclusive and selective community.

Its 23-story tower will feature 83 elegant residences that will, on average, span 273 square meters, a perfect balance between comfort and style in every corner under the concept of "resort-style living" transferred from the hotel sphere to the residential.

The top floor of Thompson Private Residences Puerto Cancun features the spectacular Sky Beach, a unique innovation in the world that includes an artificial beach on a rooftop and the region's highest restaurant. Furthermore, residents can enjoy resort-style amenities such as a private spa, golf simulator, cinema, wine cellar, and a children's salon, with no hotel elements or vacation rentals interfering with the exclusivity of the space.

A Collaborative Vision

The project is the result of a creative synergy between Azul Hospitality & Real Estate Group, MAAR Arquitectura Humana, Macedo Arquitectura, Hyatt—operator of the Thompson brand—and the renowned interior designer Alejandro Escudero. Together they have conceived a design that captures the essence of "holistic living," a concept integrating well-being, balance, and a design that combines elegant aesthetics with practical functionality, complemented by panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.

Less than a year after its launch, Thompson Private Residences has sold more than 50% of its units in the first months of pre-sale and has received international recognitions such as the Americas Property Awards, DNA Paris Design Awards, and AAI Mexico Awards.
